Common problems and how to fix them.
Cause: Your identity provider (Microsoft/Google) session may have expired or your browser is blocking third-party cookies.
Fix: Try clearing your browser cookies, or use a private/incognito window. Make sure pop-ups are allowed for linq.life.
Cause: This can happen if your browser has stale authentication cookies.
Fix: Clear all cookies for linq.life, close all tabs, and try signing in again from a fresh tab.
Cause: It can take up to 60 seconds for a forwarded email to be processed. Some email providers may also delay forwarding.
Fix: Wait a minute and refresh your Inbox. If it still doesn't appear after 5 minutes, check you forwarded to the correct email address (shown in Settings).
Cause: The original image may be too low quality, or the email contained only a text-based receipt that our scanner couldn't parse.
Fix: Try uploading a clearer photo or PDF directly from the Inbox page. Make sure the receipt details (amount, date, vendor) are legible.
Cause: AI classification is probabilistic — some receipts can reasonably fit multiple categories.
Fix: Click the category badge in the Review tab to change it. Your correction is saved and helps improve future suggestions.
Cause: The receipt may have multiple amounts (subtotal, total, GST) or ambiguous date formats.
Fix: You can edit the amount and date before confirming. The original receipt image is always preserved for your records.
Cause: The link may have been revoked, or it may have been corrupted when copied.
Fix: Go to Summary, revoke the old link if still active, and generate a fresh one. Copy and send the full URL.
Cause: If you have a large number of receipts, initial page loads can take a moment.
Fix: Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, check your internet connection. linq works best on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox).
